Located in the Laurentian region of Quebec close to Montreal and the major ski resorts of St Sauveur, Morin Heights and Mont Tremblant. The retreating ice age created the lake dotted Laurentians, North of the St Lawrence River. In the late 19th century, the region called Montfort, south of Morin Heights and west of St- Sauveur, was settled by hardy colonists and daring priests- and their legacy lingers in the historic buildings and on the winding byways that lace the region. Over time, these mountains have become a four season holiday paradise but many of the lakes have become noisy and polluted. This Project, preserved, originally, by absentee owners (who had bought it from loggers fifty years ago) is now in the safe hands of todays' owner who is 100% committed to maintaining its wilderness heritage and tranquillity.
